My journey hasn’t been without its challenges. The period between 1970 and 1979 was especially difficult as I faced unrelenting spiritual battles through sleep paralysis. Each attack left me discouraged, draining my passion and focus, even affecting my studies. No one around me understood what I was going through. In desperation, I knelt one day in the late 1970s and asked God for help. His answer came in an unexpected way—He impressed upon me to get a pocket-sized Gideon Bible. That small step marked the beginning of a new chapter.
Though I struggled to fully align my ways with His, God remained gracious and merciful. On 5 August 1994, I finally answered His call to accept Jesus Christ, turning from my own ways to embrace His leading. That decision brought a spiritual rebirth and began a deeper walk with the LORD. Later that same year, God called me to direct service through Mark 3:14, a verse that compelled me to spend time with Him and serve faithfully—a journey that continues to shape my life to this day.
Professionally, I’ve worked across various fields, often self-employed, including roles in mini cabbing, courier services, mortgage consulting (CeMap), facility management, and project management. I now work in the retail industry, where I engage with people daily and stay connected to the realities of their struggles and dilemmas. These experiences have given me a unique perspective on faith, life, and the challenges we all face.
Through this blog, I share heartfelt teachings, personal testimonies, and practical insights to inspire you to seek God intentionally and trust Him in every aspect of your life. My hope is to walk this journey of faith with you, learning and growing together as we discover the depths of God’s love and purpose.
In addition to blogging, I’ve authored the book Who is God?, now available on Amazon, which dives deeper into God’s character and invites readers to explore a relationship with Him. I’m also actively involved in men’s ministries like The Men’s Calvary, Men Arise, and The Disciples, and I’m a member of Lea Valley Church in Waltham Abbey, UK.
When I’m not writing or teaching, I enjoy taking “prayer walks” (my personal time with God), watching football, and spending time with my family. With a B.Sc. in Sociology and a Master’s in Industrial and Labour Relations from the University of Ibadan, I blend life experience and scriptural truths to guide others on their spiritual journey.
My prayer is that this blog will be a source of encouragement, growth, and hope for you. Time is of the essence, and there’s no better moment to seek God than now. Subscribe today, join the conversation, and let’s walk together into a life that’s truly personal with God.
Blessings,
Olabode Winsala
